Professor Hassan Ugail currently serves as the Director of the Centre for Visual Computing
Born in Addu, Hithadhoo in the Maldives, Professor Ugail has lived in the UK since 1992. His first degree was a B.Sc. with First Class Honours in Mathematics at King’s College London in 1995. He was awarded his PhD by the Department of Applied Mathematics at University of Leeds in the year 2000 for his research in geometric design. He then worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the School of Mathematics at University of Leeds until September 2002.
Professor Ugail joined the School of Informatics, University of Bradford, as a Lecturer in September 2002. He was appointed as a Senior Lecturer in 2005 and was promoted to Professor of Visual Computing in 2009.
