There has been extensive media coverage recently for the space weather research, led by Dr Rami Qahwaji, and carried out at the Centre for Visual Computing at the University of Bradford. The research team has been able to develop cutting edge technology for the automated analysis of real-time satellite images and the prediction of significant solar activities. The flares-prediction computer system is called ASAP (Automated Solar Activity Prediction) and is available at http://spaceweather.inf.brad.ac.uk/. ASAP was integrated with the Space Weather European Network (SWENET), which is supported by the European Space Agency (ESA), as a new Service Development Activity (SDA). It was also integrated with NASA's Community Coordinated Modeling Center (CCMC), where it is currently operational at http://iswa.gsfc.nasa.gov/iswa/iSWA.html. ASAP has been recently added to the UK's space weather assets.
