Aim
To develop a non-invasive lie detector based on video and thermal images for border control applications.
Client, Funding
EPSRC, UK Border Agency, QinetiQ (project in partnership with Department of Computer Science, Aberystwyth University)
Project
The aim of this project to develop a lie detector during an interview scenario based on the analysis of human facial expressions, eye movement and micro facial expressions. Both visual cues (based on facial images through video) thermal cues (based on images from thermal cameras) combined with psychological analysis provide clues where a person may not be telling the truth.
Results
This is ongoing work with promising initial results.
